Take a picnic and explore the Llys-y-Fran Country Park and serene 200-acre reservoir nearby. It’s the largest stretch of water for game fishing in Wales and it’s great for birdwatching too.
Lake Cottage, LLys-Y-Fran is a great starting point for exploring scenic woodland paths, sandy beaches and ancient castles. Pubs, golf and horse riding are all within five miles. There’s an eight-mile trail for walking or cycling from the cottage and you’ll spot plenty of wildlife, buzzards and woodpeckers. Take the family for a day at Oakwood Theme Park (12 miles) or visit the charming walled town of Tenby. Boat trips from the harbour offer scenic cruises to Caldey Island and monastery. For beaches, Newport Sands is a vast beach with dunes just 15 miles away and the stunning beaches lining St Brides Bay are a similar distance.
