A traditional stone cottage with an airy, colourful interior & bags of personality

Laughing Seagull, Saundersfoot looks like a picturesque stone cottage from the outside, but inside it's an airy modern space with bags of personality. Throw open turquoise double doors to find a colourful open plan kitchen, dining area and a lounge with an amazing fuschia corner sofa. Underfloor heating and a fireplace make this the perfect space for chilly evenings. Upstairs the two main rooms are more soothing, and the pops of colour are saved for the two kid's rooms and statement bathroom. Another bathroom is wet-room style and perfect for storing wetsuits and beach toys. The outside terraces are ideal for catching rays.

Banish the kids to the walk-in showers while you relax in the freestanding tub. Then wrap up in towels and PJs and snuggle on the vast sofa for movie night.

Laughing Seagull is a ten-minute walk from the centre of Saundersfoot. A pretty, welcoming village just made for seaside holidays. The award-winning beach is perfect for young children, while older ones can get their adrenaline fix at the watersports centre. In the village, you'll find excellent pubs, cafes, and restaurants to suit all tastes or grocery shops for self-catering. A ten-minute drive will take you to bigger, livelier Tenby (4.9 km) if you want more buzz. Or, for less noise, try walking the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, which stretches away from Saundersfoot in both directions through some stunning seaside scenery.

What we love about Laughing Seagull, Saundersfoot

  • We really enjoy how traditional this cottage looks from the outside compared to its bright, funky interior.
  • We can't get enough of that lounge area. We love the corner sofa and the fireplace and the fact that it's open-plan through to the kitchen, so no one misses out on family time.
  • Not one but two outside spaces, perfect for outdoor dining, sunbathing or storing body boards and bikes.
