The Dairy, Dinas makes a lovely rural escape for a couple or solo traveller. Start your day by whipping up a hearty breakfast in the spacious, fully equipped kitchen. Then enjoy it at the dining table with a view of the garden, or open the French doors to dine on the patio. After a day spent exploring the area, soothe aching muscles with a bath or walk-in shower, then relax in the cosy lounge with a book or film in front of the wood-burning fire. As darkness falls, make your way to the king-size bedroom for a great night’s sleep.
Blow away the cobwebs and stretch your legs as you walk the coastal paths and country lanes, stopping for well-earned refreshments at waterfront inns and ice cream shops.
The Dairy is on the outskirts of Dinas Cross, an historic village with a shop, pub and beautiful sheltered beach. A short walk will take you to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, which leads past secluded coves to Pwllgwaelod Beach (2.5 km), where you’ll find a welcoming pub. Then, enjoy the circular walk around Dinas Island, keeping an eye out for dolphins as you go or continue walking to Newport (6 km). This pretty seaside town is filled with artisanal cafes, excellent restaurants, unique shops and independent galleries. Plus a stunning beach, golf course and boat club.
